THRA Educational Scholarship Foundation

The Toledo Home Remodelers Association (THRA) established this scholarship program for the relatives of THRA members. The annual scholarship program’s purpose is to identify and honor exceptionally able high school and college students, and to provide additional financial assistance to the student.

Who is Eligible?
High school or college students who are relatives of THRA members can apply for this scholarship. Scholarship recipients are presented their scholarship at the May general meeting of the THRA. Winners can receive only one scholarship. To apply for the scholarship, students must submit an application form, available through the THRA office or any THRA member, from February 1 through April 30.

How are Winners Selected?
Scholarship winners will be chosen on a competitive basis based on their scholastic achievements. Requirements for application are:

1. Copy of High school or college transcript
2. Minimum GPA of 2.5
3. Letter of Acceptance from an accredited institution for higher education
4. Letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer or clergy member
5. Completed application form. Forms not completed will not be considered
   

What is the Amount Awarded?
The award will vary yearly, up to six awards are given in the amounts of up to $1,000.
